Since 2004, the Auburn University Libraries have subsidized printing in the Media and Digital Resource Lab (MDRL) and while the Libraries will continue to subsidize large format printing, as of May 21, in response to the current economic situation, the MDRL will begin charging a 50 cent per page fee for its color laser printer.  Fees will be billed to users’ bursar accounts in accordance with MDRL printing policies.  Duplex (2-sided) printing and custom paper types and sizes will be available on this printer.  Fees for color laser printing match those of other campus services offered by OIT (the Office of Information Technology) and CopyCat.

Questions about the MDRL printing can be directed to mdrl@auburn.edu, 334-844-7398, or in person at the MDRL located on the first floor of Draughon Library.

At the same time, OIT will begin operation of a color laser printer in their lab located on the third floor of Draughon Library. Duplex printing or custom paper will not be available on this printer but it will be accessible from all of the OIT computers in the library.

Questions about the OIT printing can be directed to the OIT Help Desk at helpdesk@auburn.edu, 334-844-4944 or in person on the third floor of Draughon Library.

Self service color laser printing is also available for the same cost at CopyCat located at the Auburn University Student Union.  They may be contacted via email at copycat@auburn.edu or telephone at 844-4200.
