Mary Ward Brown (1917 - 2013) was an Alabama author of short stories set in the South. She was a recipient of numerous awards. Her publications include the short story collections Tongues of Flame (1986) and It Wasn't All Dancing (2002) and a memoir, Fanning in the Spark (2001).
The exhibit, located in the glass display cases on the left side immediately upon entering the Special Collections and Archives Department, features correspondence, photographs, copies of Brown's books, and copies of books inscribed and signed by other notable authors to Mary Ward Brown.
The Special Collections and Archives Department is located on the Ground Floor of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library.
