A Delta Vigil:  Yazoo City in the 1950s

Claire T. Field

Field has had 311 poems accepted for publication in 101 print journals and anthologies.  She graduated from Mississippi University for Women in 1967, with a major in English and a minor in Speech.  Field received the M.Ed. degree from Mississippi State University, where she majored in Reading.   She has a Sixth Year Certificate from Auburn University in Composition.

Her first poetry book is Mississippi Delta Women in Prism.   Her second collection of poetry is Southern Aunts, The 1950s.   Her third book is an Origami micro-book titled Indigo Blues.  Her fourth book, A Delta Vigil:  Yazoo City, The 1950s, has just been published (July 2014) by Woodson Knowles Publishing Group.
