In honor of the many black alumni who will attend the upcoming Black Alumni Weekend 2018 at Auburn University, the AU Libraries’ Special Collections and Archives Department has created an exhibit marking the accomplishments and campus life of black Auburn alumni.
The three-case exhibit will highlight the integration of Auburn University, black student life at Auburn, and, finally, a case featuring some of the notable black Auburn alumni.
The exhibit, located in the Special Collections and Archives Department on the ground floor of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library, will open to the public on September 7 at the beginning of Black Alumni Weekend and will remain open during all Special Collections and Archives regular hours. The exhibit will remain up through the end of fall semester 2018 for those who miss it over the weekend.
Special Collections and Archives hours over the Black Alumni Weekend are:
Friday, Sept. 7, 7:45 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 8, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 9, 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
