Be sure to check library hours of operation during Final Exams August 3 - 5 by clicking on the Hours link located in the top central section of the Auburn University Libraries homepage. Special hours will be in place also for July 29 - August 2 for classes ending and for Study/Reading days. Intersession Hours will be in effect August 6 - 15. Regular Fall Semester hours of operation will begin on Tuesday, August 16, the first day of classes.
Located in the upright exhibit case on the First Floor of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library near the restrooms is an exhibit featuring the Army ROTC Centennial 1916 - 2016 commemorating the establishment of the Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) at the Auburn Polytechnic Institute (now Auburn University).
The exhibit features photographs and captions plus artifacts such as a piccolo used by API Cadet Band Member J.A. Douglas during the years 1917-1919 and a uniform worn by Frank Hayes Newman, API student, during the years 1929 - 1930.
The exhibit also includes photographs and documents concerning the dedication of the W.T. Nichols Center ROTC building in 1986.

Shifting has progressed to the Second Floor in the HE series. The A series is moving to OLAF (Offsite Library Archival Facility).
Shelving construction work at the OLAF site is now complete. Movement of materials to the building is proceeding.
Sprinkler installation will be in the Learning Commons area in the coming week. No call number ranges are expected to be affected.

Come join us to browse the 2016 Children's and Young Adults Award Winning Books and the Libraries' Juvenile Collection! There will be refreshments along with information about the libraries' resources for juvenile literature. Book jackets from this year's and previous years' award winners will be available for free to take on a first come - first served basis - great for bulletin boards and classroom decor!
