An exhibit concerning Ralph Brown Draughon (after whom the R.B.D. Library is named) is on display in the two glass cases recently placed on the First Floor near the Atrium staircase and elevator.

The exhibit features numerous photographs of Ralph Brown Draughon (1899-1968) plus memorabilia and informative captions.  Draughon served as President of Auburn University from 1947 through 1965.  The exhibit covers important events of Draughon's presidency including the transition of Auburn from the Alabama Polytechnic Institute to Auburn University in 1960 and the desegregation of the University in 1964 when Harold Franklin was admitted as the first African American student.  The photos cover Draughon's life from a 1925 scene where he was serving as a teacher at Sumter County High School in 1925 through his retirement.
