The CopyCat photocopying service, based out of Foy Union, is now expanding hours of operation at the CopyCat office located in the Ralph Brown Draughon Library (Second Floor, near the Mell Street entrance).

CopyCat in the RBD Library is now open:

Monday - Thursday, 8:30 a.m. - 12 midnight

Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Saturday:  closed

Sunday:  3 - 10 p.m.

In an effort to keep the Ralph Brown Draughon Library book collections in as good condition as possible, the Stacks Maintenance staff are providing a Stacks Maintenance Request Form so patrons can notify the staff of areas needing attention.  Use this form to notify the Stacks Maintenance staff that books are out of call number order, that an area needs cleaning and dusting, that bookends need to be straightened or adjusted, or that litter needs to be picked up.

The Stacks Maintenance Request Form is located by clicking on the More link located under the "Services" heading in the middle of the Auburn University Libraries homepage.

The Cary Veterinary Medical Library is pleased to announce its new web page .

The new web page can be used by patrons to request items to be put on reserve, the request library purchases, to request a class or instruction from the librarian, to link directly to the slide collection, and much more.

The Special Collections and Archives Department, located on the Ground Floor of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library, now has a new web page featuring "Treasures of the Collection."  The web page features a showcase of a selection of the treasures held by the Special Collections and Archives Department.  Over time, new images and text will be added.

The Treasure Collection web page can be reached by clicking on the link located in the lower right hand side of the Special Collections and Archives home page which itself can be located via the Site Index link located on the lower right hand side of the A.U. Libraries homepage .

The Ralph Brown Draughon Library now is open 24 hours a day five days a week!  From Sunday opening at 1 p.m. through closing on Friday at 9 p.m. the RBD Library will be continuously open for the Fall Semester (excluding holidays).  On Saturday, the library will be open 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. and will then reopen on Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Stacks Cafe, located on the Ground Floor of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library, has reopened under new management.  Stacks will continue to offer Starbuck's coffee but has added "Outtakes" and speciality pastries.  "Outtakes" provides customers with a variety of sandwiches, salads, and more such as Caesar and pasta salads, turkey and provolone baguettes, buffalo chicken wraps, etc.

New hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. - 12 midnight; Friday, 7 a.m. - 2 p.m.; and Sunday, 1:30 p.m. - 11 p.m.  Stacks will be kicking off the new offerings at the annual Tailgate @ the Library open house on Friday, August 31, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the RBD Library.

The Betty and Chet's refreshment stand, located immediately on the left hand side as one enters the Ralph Brown Draughon Library via the Mell Street entrance (Second Floor, facing Haley Center) has reopened for the Fall Semester.  Featuring a selection of snacks, Starbuck's coffee, and more, Betty and Chet's is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Stacks Cafe, located on the Ground Floor of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library, has reopened under new management.  Summer Semester hours of operation are Monday - Thursday, 4:30 - 9:00 p.m.  Expanded hours for the Fall Semester will be announced here in August.

In conjunction with the expansion of the Digital Resources Lab, two additional microform reader printers are being converted from photocopying-only to digital reproduction to allow patrons to scan microform images.  This allows patrons to either send scanned images to their e-mail accounts or to save scanned images to digital storage devices.

In response to popular demand, the Digital Resources Lab, located on the First Floor of the Ralph Brown Draughon Library is expanding.  Construction work is underway to expand the lab into the area where some of the microform collections have been housed and the microform reading equipment has been located.  (Microform collections and reading equipment have been moved; see the First Floor Service Desk for assistance).

The Digital Resource Laboratory (DRL) at RBD Library is designed to help Auburn University students, faculty, and staff use multimedia materials in their class assignments and course projects. It does this by providing access to the latest multimedia hardware and software, together with the on-site technical expertise needed to use these resources to best advantage. The DRL is committed to serving the multimedia technology needs of Auburn University students and faculty in all academic disciplines.  See the DRL link for more information about the services offered, etc.
